Hockey is getting back to normal after the hyped, crazy first month of the season. We saw teams losing games they should not have lost, and vice-versa. Here's a quick recap for PickShack's five weekly picks (2 - 8 November).

4 Nov - ANA @ LA: Chances were slim for the Kings to win this game, even if the final score was 1-0 in favor of the Ducks. This game shouldn't even have been that close, but Pickshack chose Anaheim as the winner, and they did.

5 Nov - EDM @ CBJ: The up and down Oilers failed me! They lost to the speedy Blue Jackets with 1:09 left in the third. This game could have gone to both teams, but Colombus prevailed.

6 Nov - NAS @ CGY: After the first period, the score was 4-0 for the red-hot flames. At the final horn, the score was 7-6. This was a crazy game, with a lot of scoring, and the Preds could have one that one. Good thing I picked Calgary!

8 Nov - FLO @ PHO: The Coyotes are hard to beat at home and they proved it once again in beating the Florida by a count of 4-1. This game never was a contest and a pretty easy pick.

8 Nov - MTL @ TOR: Like I stated in my game preview "Toronto are playing on their home ice, in front of a wild and tough crowd. The hype, atmosphere and emotion will make the Leafs very hard to beat and they will win that game." Indeed they did: by a score of 6-3.
