New NHL Hockey Picks

The NHL season is going strong. We have posted our hockey picks for this week. Check em out!

By the way, the 2010 Vancouver Olympics are only a couple weeks away and the NHL is taking a break during this period. There won't be any NHL games during this time but we'll be back just after the Olympics.

The NHL hockey season has finally started.  This season promises to be a great one as a lot of premium players have changed teams.  Will the Penguins repeat last season's exploit?  Will an underdog team surprise everybody?

Hockey Recap - Great week!

We had a great hockey week at PickShack. ShackJr had picked five games and won four of them. The only game we lost was Colorado (4) against Washington (1): The Avalanche, despite their difficult season, really dominated this game at both end of the ice.

Well, PickShack was right about three things regarding the All-Star Game; high-scoring, not physical and nonexistent defensive. We were wrong about the winner, thanks to Tim Thomas!

Disastrous week in Hockey

What a disastrous week for PickShack in their NHL Hockey picks! First off, the San Jose Sharks decided to lose their game against the Wild, most experts did not see this one coming.

Secondly, the Anaheim Ducks lost at home against the Blue Jackets. Although the Blue Jackets are playing good hockey and are in a playoff spot, the Ducks should have never lost that one.


Not a bad week for Hockey picks

PickShack's hockey picks was 3 out of 5 this week; not too bad. First lost came on the Canadiens vs Red Wings NHL game. Like I said, Montreal are an up and down hockey team, and the game against Detroit was an up for them. Also, the Wings were coming back from an extended road trip, and we all know what usually happens the first game back at home after a long road trip: a loss. I won the next three picks (Pittsburgh, Nashville and Minnesota), but lost the last one; Chicago at LA.


Good hockey week - getting back to normal

Hockey is getting back to normal after the hyped, crazy first month of the season. We saw teams losing games they should not have lost, and vice-versa. Here's a quick recap for PickShack's five weekly picks (2 - 8 November).

4 Nov - ANA @ LA: Chances were slim for the Kings to win this game, even if the final score was 1-0 in favor of the Ducks. This game shouldn't even have been that close, but Pickshack chose Anaheim as the winner, and they did.
