The Flyers are playing home against a reconstructing Toronto team. Philadelphia are in a good position right now (third in the East) and they want to keep it that way or move up two more spots. They should win this one against the Maple Leafs.

The Flames are hosting the worst team in the East and Calgary winning this one will not surprise anybody. The Islanders are in a world of hurt, and they won't get back on the right track in this game. Flames should win this one pretty easily.

The Red Wings should go through the Blue Jackets like a hot knife in butter. Detroit is a serious contender to win the cup again this year, and they will prove it in disposing of the Blue Jackets.

The Penguins are out of a playoff spot right now (as of 4 Jan 09) and they have to pick it up. This is the second half of the season starting and it's make or break for most teams. They are playing the Trashers who will not be in the playoffs, and Pittsburgh have to win those games against weaker teams to fight for a playoff spot. Pens win.

The Bruins are still the top team in the East, and the Wild are not in a playoff spot. In addition, Boston is playing at home. The Big Bad Bruins should win this one.

The Flyers are flying high, and should de-throne the Kings in that one. Philly have way more firepower than LA, have better goaltending than LA, and have a better team, overall, than LA and this is why they will win that one.

The Canucks are playing good hockey, and should have no difficulties winning that one against a team who is not even a contender in making the playoffs.

The Winter Classic at Wrigley Field!! The Black Hawks lost their last one against Detroit 4-0. They will not lose two in a row, especially when they are playing in Chicago, with all the hype surronding this winter classic. The Black Hawks young guns will all hyped up for that one, and the Red Wings old legs will find it out. Hawks win.

The Ducks are playing on their ice, and will prove too strong for the Blue Jackets.

The Sharks are big, strong and fast and the Wild will find out the hard way. San Jose will win this one.
